Stop by, drop-in, hang out! Eastern PA Trans Equity Project hosts a number of different community discussion and social support groups targeted specifically to transgender people and those who care for them. In all cases you can be assured of a safe and secure environment where your identity and any information you share will be held in strict confidentiality. Our transgender support groups serve the Lehigh Valley and surrounding areas.
Lehigh Valley Renaissance – LV Renaissance is a drop-in discussion and social group that is open to all transgender and gender nonconforming people, their allies and family members.
Meet-ups take place the second Saturday of the month. Snacks are served at all meetings and many meetings feature guest speakers who are experts on topics of interest to transgender people.
Renaissance also sponsors social events, dinners, and other activities for trans folk. https://www.renaissancelv.org/
Partners – Spouses and partners transition too. And just like trans people, they can struggle with issues around stigma, sexuality and more. Partners is a drop-in support group exclusively for the spouses and partners of transgender and gender-diverse individuals.
Meetings take place the second Saturday of the month and run at the same time but separately from the Renaissance meeting. https://www.renaissancelv.org/spouses-and-partners
Beyond the Binary – Is a drop-in discussion group just for gender non-binary and gender queer people. Gender is not a choice and it isn’t only male or female so join us! This group meets the 2nd Saturday of the Month. https://www.renaissancelv.org/copy-of-beyond-the-binary
The Bradbury-Sullivan LGBT Community Center in Allentown, PA also offers peer-led support groups for transgender and gender non-conforming people. The Eastern PA Trans Equity Project is proud to support these efforts.
Transmasculine Group – a monthly peer-led casual, drop-in discussion group for people who were assigned anything other than male at birth but now reside somewhere on the masculine spectrum—i.e. transguys and transmasculine non-binary people. Group meets the 4th Tuesday of every month. https://www.bradburysullivancenter.org/transmasc_group
Parents of Trans Kids Group – a twice monthly support group for parents of transgender children of any age. This group is led by a parent of a trans child and meets the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month. https://www.bradburysullivancenter.org/parents_of_trans_kids
