Food Assistance
No one should ever go hungry when there is good quality food available. That’s why Eastern PA Trans Equity Project provides food assistance to transgender people in need. We also provide food help to the parents of transgender children.
Food grants are provided by mail to qualified applicants in the form of grocery store gift cards that may be redeemed at local stores.
Once an application is received and reviewed emergency food assistance grants are typically mailed to approved applicants within 3 working days.
Grants are subject to the availability of funds and applicants for transgender emergency food grants must meet the following qualifications:
- Applicant must be transgender a transgender person to apply
- Applicant must demonstrate need
- Applicants must reside in Adams, Berks, Bucks, Bradford, Carbon, Chester, Columbia, Cumberland, Dauphin, Delaware, Franklin, Juniata, Lackawanna, Lancaster, Lebanon, Lehigh, Luzerne, Lycoming, Monroe, Montgomery, Montour, Northampton, Northumberland, Perry, Pike, Schuylkill, Snyder, Sullivan, Susquehanna, Tioga, Union, Wayne, Wyoming, and York County in Pennsylvania only. Applications from other localities will be declined.
- We do not serve Philadelphia at this time
- EPTEP reserves the right to decline or approve all applications.
You must be a transgender person to apply. All other applications will not be considered.

Supportive Services For Transgender Pennsylvanians
The Eastern PA Trans Equity Project (EPTEP) serves transgender and gender diverse people throughout eastern Pennsylvania including the Lehigh Valley and surrounding areas. This includes the Cities of Allentown, Bethlehem, Easton and more.
In addition to Emergency Food Assistance, we offer Legal Name Change Assistance, Scholarship Programs, and Educational Programs to people in Lehigh County, Northampton County, Monroe County, Carbon County, Schuylkill County and other areas of Pennsylvania.
