Eastern PA Trans Equity Project attends and produces several large Pennsylvania Transgender Community events each year. These events are a great opportunity to meet and mingle with trans and gender-diverse people.
We also offer educational seminars and training programs for companies, public officials, schools and more. Be sure to check them out on our Training Bureau page!
TDoV is an annual occurring on March 31 that is dedicated to celebrating transgender people and raising awareness of discrimination faced by transgender people worldwide, as well as a celebration of their contributions to society. Each Spring we develop a community education program focused on telling the stories of transgender people including our triumphs and challenges
Since 1999, the Transgender Day of Remembrance (TDoR), has been observed as a day to memorialize those who have been murdered as a result of transphobia. Transgender people are subject to high rates of violence and, unfortunately, high rates of homicide due to hate crimes. TDoR is observed in over 185 cities throughout more than 20 countries.
Every year, we staff booths, distribute information and spread the word of inclusivity at LGBTQ Pride Festivals and other LGBTQ Pride programs as we celebrate our accomplishments.
When appropriate, EPTEP volunteers attend panels focusing on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) as well as table at local festivals and fairs. These are just a few of the transgender community events we produce each year.
Transgender Community Events like the ones listed on this page provide an important opportunity for the LGBTQ people to gather and learn form each other in the Lehigh Valley and Eastern Pennsylvania.
EPTEP has attended and participated in transgender programs and outreach in Allentown, Bethlehem, Easton, Philadelphia, Norisstown, Reading, Hazleton, Princeton, Harrisburg and many other towns and cities across the region.
