Creating Positive Change
Building Our Culture By Providing Positive Assistance.
Transgender people come from all walks of life. We are dads and moms, brothers and sisters, sons and daughters. We are your coworkers, and your neighbors. We are 7-year-old children and 70-year-old grandparents.
Unfortunately, many trans folk encounter obstacles to living complete and fulfilling lives. These can include coming out to family; transition on the job; navigating the name change process; seeking affirming medical care and even getting advice about clothing and presentation. The good news is that the EPTEP team has the resources to assist.
“Everyday a transgender Pennsylvanian wonders ‘Can I do it… Can I transition?’ At EPTEP, our answer is a resounding “Yes!”
–Corrine Goodwin Board Member
“EPTEP’s Lehigh Valley Renaissance support group has been wonderfully positive and affirming for my spouse and me.
We’ve made many wonderful friends and received a lot of great information and support on our journey”
–Mel Marek

Throughout Eastern Pennsylvania
We actively work to advocate for trans people in our local communities. This includes assisting educators, medical providers, legislators and community leaders with their questions about the issues that impact gender-diverse Pennsylvanians. We also work with local media to spread the word about trans-inclusivity!
